Overwhelmed by trying to jump start a healthier lifestyle?
I get it. I was that gal.
Do you want some help getting all the pertinent info and tips you’ll need to begin so that you can:
- have more energy
- clear that brain fog out of your head
- lose some weight
I can help you make the start and transition so much easier.
We all start somewhere less than desirable. All of us. We hope, we dream, and we aspire to find the strength and energy we need to make change happen. But life gets in the way. “I’ll start next week”, turns into next month, turns into the end of summer, turns into after the holidays…
Let’s face it! It’s NEVER a good time to start.
So how do you slay this particular dragon?
Start before you’re ready.
Build slow, steady and strong – for the long haul.
I did and you can too.
Diets don’t work. You know it and so do I.
Lifestyle change is where it’s at, and it isn’t going to happen over night.
Be kind and gentle to yourself.
Have realistic expectations.
Know BEFORE you start that you will stumble and fall and be OKAY with it. You are human.
Pick yourself up the next day, shake it all off, and get back on the horse. Rome wasn’t built in a day!
My ten (10) year journey to better health was riddled with potholes the size of Rhode Island.
Mis-diagnosed repeatedly, I was relentless in pursuing resolutions for my health issues. Doctors wanted to give me prescriptions to alleviate my symptoms but none wanted to help me figure out what what causing my long list of nagging issues. None wanted to get to the root cause of my pain, they just wanted to placate my symptoms. And the vast majority gave me the “eye roll” when I wouldn’t accept their prescriptions. I was being pigeon holed as a mid-life miserable woman who needs a psychiatrist more than an MD.
I had no interest in becoming a pill popping money making machine for big pharma.
Ultimately, I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimotos) and I have been on a healing journey for nearly a decade. When doctors couldn’t help me, I turned to educating myself. I read and researched EVERYTHING I could get my hands on.
I got a certificate in plant based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Foundation at Cornell University.
I took control of my health outcome.
Ultimately I found a guide (chiropractor who specializes in thyroid issues) and he has helped me to slowly and steadily recover.
What I have discovered along the way is that there are three major contributors to a myriad of bad health issues plaguing our modern culture.
- Stress (thoughts)
What we eat and how it is cultivated (organic vs. conventional) accounts for the largest portion of your health outcome. No joke.
Stress plays a larger role than any one of use wants to really believe.
The solution to change is EASY. It is not, however, always SIMPLE.
